Recertification approved to ISO14001
Press release: June 3rd 2003.
An audit of Plastika's Environmental Quality System based on the standard ISO14001 resulted in the recognition of the functionality of the implemented Environmental Management System and its' recertification.

On 07/03/2003, a recertification audit of the environmental quality system based on Standard ISO14001.
New EMS Certificate
The auditors performing the audit on the company stated that the company is developing its EMS program, and shows constant improvement in the area of care of the environment. Certain points of improvement were recommended. The result of the audit was recognition of the functionality of the implemented EMS and issuance of a new certificate.
EMS Process Model
Today, the team is preparing a transformation of the EMS system to a process model, so that a management system of care for the environment could be fully integrated into the quality assurance system giving us a truly Total Quality Management (TQM) programme. This is a difficult transition since there has been no support from legislation to date. In solving this question the team is relying on a proposal of the ISO organization - approval of Standard 14000:200x is ongoing.
