The joint stock company PLASTIKA a.s. has closed a contract with Siemens VDO for supplies of assembly groups for automotive industry.
A new contract of annual volume worth over 90 million crowns was closed by the Kromeriz company Plastika with the company Siemens VDO. According to it, Plastika will supply assembly groups for dashboards for several models of Volkswagen and Skoda automobile factories.
This is already the second significant job for automotive industry this year. In July, Plastika signed a three years’ contract for components for Ford vehicles. Volume of this job, which the company acquired thanks to investments in a new nitrogen aided injection method, is worth 60 million crowns.
Plastika earned 671 million crowns this year. The largest share in the profit had the manufacture of computer keyboards, however, the biggest growth dynamics showed supplies for automotive industry.
The company’s management envisages that this year’s turnover will be even higher. For example, the year-to-year growth of sales from manufacturing activities will attain almost 17 percent.
The Kromeriz company came into being in 1956 as a manufacturing cooperative for disabled people, in 2003 the company was transformed into a join stock company. However, the company still employs more than a half of its personnel being physically handicapped and disabled persons. Plastika has a total of 320 employees.
