The manufacturer of plastic products, Plastika VD (production cooperative) Kroměříž, has recorded a growth of sales by 63 per cent to the amount of 125.9 million Czech crowns in the first quarter when compared with the last year. The economy of the company has achieved the profit of 350,000 Czech crowns while for the same period of the last year, Plastika has suffered losses in the height of more than three million Czech crowns. The journalists have been informed of these facts by the chairman of the production cooperative, Miroslav Kundera.
"The last year's investment in new machinery through which we have increased the production capacity
has reflected in the considerable growth of sales. In the company, we work in three-shift continuous operation to
manage to fulfil orders"
, said the chairman.
Plastic keyboards and other components for computers, which accounted for about 60 per cent, formed the biggest portion of the sales. The production for the automotive industry represented a quarter. Plastika supplies products and components for Fabia and Octavia cars as well as for Sommer Allibert company or for Opel and Mercedes cars. About eight per cent of the sales accounted for road guard pillars and the rest of production for the products for the electrical industry.
The company exported 80 per cent of the production. The products for computers were supplied in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia. Plastika supplied more than two thirds of the road posts in Germany thus compensating drop of the Czech market caused by lack of financial resources.
"The number of orders is influenced positively by obtaining the certificates ISO9001 and QS9000 in the last years
and the ecological certificate ISO14001 received in this March. We prepare also the certificate
VDA6.1 for this year"
, said the chairman.
Plastika plans to increase the last year’s sales in the amount of 351 million Czech crowns by at least 70 per cent in this year. The productivity of work for one employee in the height of 2.2 million Czech crowns is expected which is approximately the triple of the average of the production cooperatives in the Czech republic.
