The company Plastika v.d. Kroměříž expects its profit according to preliminary results to be CZK 716 million, that is year-to year by 43% more. Gross profit of this producer of plastic products should be CZK 18 million while two years ago it was CZK 9,8 million. This was announced by the chairman of the production cooperative, Mr. Miroslav Kundera.
His opinion is that the strong Czech currency had a negative impact on the results. Plastika is a big exporter and due to changes in the exchange rates, it lost approximately CZK 30 million of profit.
20% of the production were components for car industry, that Plastika supplies to Octavia, Fabia, Opel or Mercedes. The remaining part were road direction posts and plastic ventilators for aggressive workplaces.
Export represented 75% of the profit. Plastika exported mainly to Germany, France, Holland and Britain, smaller deliveries went to Hungary and Slovakia.
Last year, the cooperative invested CZK 23 million, out of which CZK 18 million were spent on reconstruction of production premises.
