Next year the Plastika company will celebrate 50 years presence on the market.
Plastika Kroměříž has a leading position among Czech suppliers of plastic products. Next year the company will celebrate 50 years presence on the market. When you say "Plastika", local people quite often associate the company with a producer of flowerpots, road marker posts or an employer who employs handicapped people. All these associations are no longer valid.
Plastika is a supplier of complex plastic components for industrial goods. It can offer high level of pre-production services and finalization which includes product and mould design. Injection moulding, painting, printing, assemblage, products packaging and their distribution can be offered as well. The production of PC keyboards and technical mouldings for electrotechnical industry occupies the main portion of the production. These are very exacting components from both dimension and aesthetic point of view for automotive industry, printers and copiers. Ten per cent of the production program is made up by production of road marker posts and plastic industrial ventilators. Well known companies such as Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Schneider Electric, Siemens VDO, Faurecia, Lexmark or Xerox belong to Plastika's customers. The revenues have reached high figures too, amounting to CZK579 million in 2004. 70% of the revenues were made up by exports. The employment cannot be neglected either. Plastika currently employs 300 people. Half of them are handicapped people.
Plastika has defined the following aims for this year: the strategic alliance scenario, building a logistic centre for PC keyboards, implementation of a new information system and last but not least adoption of new nitrogen supported technologies for injection moulding.
